East Bay Community Potluck and How to Keep Coal out of the East Bay!

Summer's coming to a close and we're looking to get together to have fun, enjoy a potluck lunch, and to learn about why it's so important to collaborate to stop the efforts underway to build an enormous coal terminal at the Port of Oakland, (funded in part with a recent $75million dollar donation from POTUS for clean bea&*%$#!ful coal).  The coal train that would come and go would contribute disastrously to local air pollution and PM2.5 along the East Bay coastline rail corridor (from Oakland to Martinez)-- causing increased rates of cardiovascular events, asthma, mortality, etc.

So, let's learn what we as the local health community-- and allies-- can do to stop this misanthropic, backwards plan from breaking ground.
