Climate Health Now April Monthly Community Meeting: Introducing CHN’s 2024 Advocacy Campaigns– and how you can get involved!

Join us for an exciting meeting on Wednesday April 17th to learn about the four exciting– and urgently needed– statewide climate campaigns that CHN will collectively be working on this year! We will hear from coalition allies about the policy campaigns and how we can make the most of our health voices in advocating for the success of these climate solutions in the interest of health and equity for all. 

There will be ample opportunities for everyone to get involved and we hope to see you there– winning is going to take all of us working together!

The specific campaigns we’ll discuss include:

• ACA-16 - Environmental Rights (Bryan) -Enshrining a right to clean air and health environment for all in the constitution
• SB-252 (Gonzalez) - CalSTRS/PERS Divestment  
• AB-1866 (Hart)-Oil and Gas Idle Wells - clean-up
• Opposing the Referendum against SB-1137- working to keep the law for health and safety setbacks from oil and gas extraction in California
